02 Why Medici?

Medici refers to the famous Italian banking family that ruled Florence from the 15th to 18th century, and who were mostly responsible for the birth of the Renaissance period. The Medici family are sometimes referred to as the first marketers of art in modern history. Consequently, Cosimo de’ Medici, who established the Medici family as effective rulers of Florence during much of the Italian Renaissance, is the 19th great-grandfather of our Founder and President, Drew Salamone, a direct descendant.
