MEDICI + MAESTRO | Mx2 Global is looking for savvy, detailed-oriented and creatively-driven Social Media Marketing Specialist to join our agency team of strategists, marketers, designers, developers and analysts! In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, content capture and post development, and community management of various client social media accounts. This position emphasizes creative ideation, content creation, and technical skill in photo/video editing, and will report directly to the Social Media Manager.
What You’ll Do
The ideal candidate will have experience posting on all social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Snapchat and TikTok. Strong creative instincts and editing skills are required, including fluency in Canva, Capcut, and Adobe platforms.
This role is heavily focused on content execution – capturing photography and videography (primarily via iPhone) and editing content for publishing. Professional camera experience is encouraged, and a plus, but not required.
The Social Media Marketing Specialist should be highly motivated, imaginative, and technically skilled. They should be fluent in the current language of social media and editing tools, while maintaining an awareness of online trends and platform capabilities.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who can:
- Collaborate with the Social Media Manager to support campaign planning, content brainstorming, and execution
- Capture high-quality photo and video content for daily social media usage using iPhones (experience with professional cameras is a bonus)
- Edit engaging and on-brand social media content using tools like CapCut, Canva, and Adobe Premiere platforms
- Publish and share content across all active social platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter/X, and Snapchat)
- Set up and optimize posts using proper formatting, hashtags, tags, geotags, and boosting techniques
- Monitor and moderate user-generated content and community engagement
- Create and manage editorial calendars and assist in scheduling posts
- Stay current on social media best practices, content trends, and visual storytelling strategies
- Work collaboratively with other departments to support cross-promotional opportunities
- Analyze and report on social content performance with support from the Social Media Manager
Additional Information
Candidates applying are required to have the following qualifications:
- 2+ years professional experience working on social media for a brand, agency or business
- Strong visual eye for photography and video capture
- Proficiency in Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere and related content creation platforms
- Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills
- Demonstrated experience editing and publishing social content with creativity and attention to detail
- Knowledge of social analytics, engagement metrics, and content performance indicators
- Familiarity with pop culture, current trends, and relevant social communities
